Little Movers is a supportive parent education class designed to help caregivers understand and support their baby’s early motor development through tummy time, rolling, sitting, and foundational movement skills.
This class gives parents clear, practical guidance on how babies develop strength, coordination, and balance during the first year of life, and how everyday play can support healthy development.
Parents will learn:
The purpose and progression of tummy time
How rolling develops (and what is typical vs. delayed)
Sitting readiness and developmental stages
Safe positioning and handling techniques
How to encourage movement through play
Ways to support strength, symmetry, and coordination
This class also helps parents understand:
What milestones to expect and when
How to recognize signs of readiness or challenge
How to support a baby who resists tummy time
When to seek additional evaluation or support
How to safely use baby gear and what to avoid
After this 60 minute class, caregivers will leave with simple, realistic strategies they can use throughout the day to help their baby build strength and confidence in movement.
